I moved to Bristol PA when I was only two years old. My mothers side of the family is August. I am probably related to half the people in Shenandoah after all these years. I am the son of Lawrence & Bernadette (August) Straka. Please feel free to contact me. I am the oldest of 8, five boys and 3 girls.Most of my years I visited Shenandoah every chance I got.My grandfather August would take me to the Pumping Station to go fishing during my younger years. James/Thomas/Martin Murphy or any other Murphy who came from Ireland and lived in Mahanoy Plane, Jeremiah Blackwell or Margaret Tobin lived in Girardville in 1880, Peter McCormick lived in Homesville and Mary Noon lived in Homesville, might have also lived in Ashland. Comments:	Hello to all you fellow Crackers. I'm a graduate of Marian High School in 1959 and Anna Mae Is a Graduate of Tamaqua High School in 1958. We Were Both residents Of Tamaqua and haave lived in Allentown since 1967. Our family is still residents of the Tamaqua area so we do get "home' quite a lot. We reside in Allentown but it isn't home. Probable when we retire in a couple of years we'll move to the "area" again. Over the time we have a computer I have notice quite a bit of recognizable names in the guestbook. I received a reply from Frank Kassak who lives in California (by the way Frank I Hope everything is going Ok for you, Reply on my e-mail address if possible) I Noticed Emmit Gallagher, Charlie Bookstein, Bill McGlinchey (who I am in constant contact with from Georgia) Frank Gibas and Joanne drop us a line, Jack Mcglinchey and Ann do likewise. Comments:	My family and I moved away form the coal reagion around 63. My father's name is Gerald also, his nick name is Jerry. He lived in Homesville, next door to the Malafreinas. The son of Harry Michael McDonald. His mother was named Bridgett (Braum) McDonald. She died when he was around 2. My mother is Theresa Ann(Tophoney)McDonald. She lived in Oakland, and attended St.Joes school. My parents were married in the Old St.Ann's Chaple. I would like to get in touch with any one that would have family information.
