Terrific web page; it's about time we had something like this. The coal regions are very rich in history. People seem to forget that when they talk about the westward movement it really started here. If there was a melting pot of nationalities this is where it started. My Father, a foreman for Scranton Electric, based in Scranton, was deeply involved with the anthracite industry from Pottsville.
